Novato, CA-February 6, 2006: Catalyst Systems, LLC, a healthcare consulting company specializing in precision staffing solutions, announced its sponsorship of a new scholarship to be administered by the Association of California Nurse Leaders (ACNL), California affiliate of the American Organization of Nurse Executives.
Catalyst founder and CEO, Holly De Groot, PhD, RN, FAAN, presented ACNL Executive Director, Pat McFarland, MS, RN, with the first check of an annual donation at the ACNL meeting in Century City, California on February 5, 2006. The Barbara Brantley Nursing Scholarship Fund was established by Catalyst in honor of the company’s co-founder, Barbara Brantley BS, RN, who passed away last summer.
Says De Groot, “Barbara’s dedication to excellence was evident in all that she did. And she felt a deep commitment to the importance of higher education in nursing.”
The scholarship fund is intended for students enrolled in a Masters or Doctoral program focused on nursing leadership, management, or administration. Its intent is to foster academic and practice excellence among tomorrow’s nurse leaders.
Contributions to the scholarship fund are welcome. To donate via credit or debit card, phone ACNL at 916-552-7529. Or mail a check to: ACNL c/o The Barbara Brantley Nursing Scholarship Fund, P.O.
